Happy Friday my Friends!
I hope you are all doing well. Usually at this time of year your BEDP teachers are planning a celebration for all the birthdays of our first grade friends. It was called the Royal Birthday Party. But since we are are not together we had to think of something we hope is just as fun.
Ms. Nichole sent out invitations for a DANCE PARTY!!! We hope you come to zoom and we can listen to some music and dance.... or just visit with our friends. (Remember..... Ms. Nichole promised to have some cool dance moves to show us.) In keeping with the Royal theme I have sent a pattern for a Royal Crown that you can cut out, color, decorate and wear at the party. It is included in this email along with my last wordsearch of the year. This week's wordsearch is made up of all the Birthday Party words I could think of. I don't think I forgot any. I have had so much fun making all these wordsearches and sending them along to you. I hope you've had some fun doing them. Just in case you missed any they are all on the BEDP website for you to print out.
Remember....the Dance Party is on Thursday, June 11th at 7:00pm. Ms Nichole has sent out the email invitation with all the zoom information in it.
Can't wait to see you all!!

Where Can We Go in Butler School? Wordsearch 5/22/20
Hi Boys and Girls
It's Friday and I have another Butler wordsearch for you. I tried to think of all the places we could go at the Butler School. My favorite place to go is the art room. I love to be creative with all those great art materials. I hope I thought of your favorite place to go at the Butler School. Check it out!!
This week I wanted to tell you about something fun that's going on at Mr. Ken's house over at 22 Flett Road in Belmont. Mr. Ken is the third grade BEDP teacher. I don't know if you know this but Mr. Ken has made the fence around his yard a sort of art gallery for drawings. He has put up a huge poster and will hang drawings that you make that thank all the community helpers (police, fire, doctors, nurses, trash collectors, teachers, etc.,) for all the work they are doing to support us during this tough time. So if you would like (and this isn't a "must-do") you can draw your picture and slip it into Mr. Ken's mailbox and he will laminate it (so it doesn't get ruined in the rain) and hang it on the poster. The next time you're out and about you can check out the poster. Mr. Ken said that it would be best if you just draw something so your picture (8x11) will fit into the laminator. I keep taking rides over there to see all the drawings....I might see yours!

Let's Get Moving Wordsearch 5/8/20
Hi to my First Grade Friends!
It's Friday and I hope you all had a good week. I went out to walk in my neighborhood on Wednesday and I came face to face with a HUGE turkey getting ready to spread his feathers. He looked at me and I looked at him and then he turned and walked away. He was HUGE. I wish I took a picture. I never know what I'll see out there.
I'm sending you this week's word search. It is titled "Let's Get Moving". It has all the things we like to do in the gym and out on the playground. I hope I didn't forget your favorite thing to do! I want to remind you that the BEDP website and Facebook page has lots of craft ideas and things to do while you're home. You can find all the wordsearches there, too.
Everyone have a wonderful weekend and a great week.
Happy Mother's Day to all the BEDP Moms. Enjoy the day!!
Stay well!!
"Virtual" hugs to you all!!!

The First Grade group leaders are Ms. Liz (also known as Ms. Gray) and Ms. Nichole. The assistants are Ms. Leila and Ms. Marie.
Make some music using two ordinary kitchen spoons. 4th grade group leader Connor shows you how. You don't need to be a 4th grader to try this. Click here to access the video or head on over the the 4th grade page.
You will need an adult or teenager to help you with this, but if you'd like to try making some slime, here is a video from 4th grade assistant, Shiela, that shows you how. You can also find this video on the 4th grade page.
More from Nichole's craft corner -
Make a picture of your pet using construction paper, a coffe filter, paint, markers or crayons and glue. Click here to find out how.
It won't be June until next week, but you can't get ready for July 4th too early. Click here for the latest project from Nichole's craft corner: a 4th of July blower.
Keep cool while it's hot. Make a watermelon fan using a paper plate and craft stick. Click here for Nichole's demonstration video.
