General Information





Enrollment in BEDP is open to all children who attend the Butler School. BEDP is licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care for 150 children per day. Once the program reaches capacity, we may not admit any additional children until someone leaves the program. We keep a waiting list for all of our enrollment options. Waiting lists do not carry over from one school year to the next.

BEDP uses the Brightwheel platform for enrollment, communication with parents and billing. When you submit the application request, you create a BEDP Brightwheel account for your child. You need to do this even if you have a Brightwheel account at another program (e.g, daycare or camp). Once we receive your application request, we will share the application(s) of your choice with you. Complete and submit the applications online. You will be notified of your child's status by Brightwheel message and/or by email.

Please note, this request is for the current school year, 2025-26 only. We are not enrolling for 2026-27 at this time, and there is no waiting list for 2026-27. Enrollment information for September, 2026 will be posted here by the middle of April, 2026.

You may select any available days in December or January. Once you have made your selections, submit the form. You will receive a confirmation message on Brightwheel once your request has been approved. Please note that you may request days for the immediately upcoming month, up to two weeks before the beginning of the month and during that month. We will post the link for the next month's sign-up sheet halfway through the preceding month.


Note: You must be enrolled in either before or after school to request drop-in days. We do not accept drop-in days from families whose children are not currently enrolled in one or both of our programs.

- BEDP keeps waiting lists for any of its enrollment options that fill to the daily licensed capacity You may have your child on more than one waiting list at a time.

-Waiting lists do not carry over from school year to school year. If your child was on a waiting list in a prior year, you must apply again for the current school year.
